Zeke
Location: Tennessee Meet Zeke, the wonder rattie! He's about 20" tall, weighs about 26 lbs, 1 year old and is house trained. Zeke does everything with gusto! He loves to play and play and play...Did I mention play?! He is a "rough and tumble" type of guy so he's best playing with a dog his size or bigger. He is never without a toy in his mouth. His kisses will remove every ounce of makeup off a face - and he has a "thing" about ears! He can be a bit enthusiastic about sharing his affection so he would need to be monitored around young children. He is a lover extraordinaire. He walks wonderfully on a leash and greets everyone he meets with a nubbie wag. He is even happier when they pet him. He rides well in a car and crates well at night (especially when sent to bed with a biscuit or two) but upon hearing people moving about the home, he'll start whining. We are currently working on manners like wait until called, humans go out of doors first, no slobbering on hands, etc... The ideal home for Zeke would have active adults, another playful dog, and children over 8. Check out more pictures of Zeke!

Chandler
Location: New York Looking for Special? Looking for Amazing? Go no further. This is Chandler. He is approximately 3-4 years old and it has been discovered that Chandler is deaf. This darling boy is so smart, so playful, so loving and so well-adjusted that neither shelter nor his foster parents realized he was deaf right away. He was found as a stray and did have an injury to the back of his neck when brought into the shelter that has since healed, but with his personality and ability to live life 'normally' like any other dog suggests that he may have been deaf and had some great people working with him before he got lost. Nonetheless, he will require a special family that realizes that some things are a little different with him - like using hand commands and touch to reward and discipline. He will also need a securely fenced yard as we do not want him to wander off again. Otherwise, you will find that this 18 pound, slightly underweight boy is just oozing with joy and love. Chandler is crate trained and learned a doggie door routine in his fosterhome and is also fantastic on leash. He loves to play, he loves to cuddle, he just ... loves. He has done great with all the dogs he's encountered as well as children ages 3 and up. Open your heart to a special gentleman who deserves all of the good things life has to offer.

Maisey
Location: Arkansas Affectionately referred to as "Crazy Maisey," this beautiful 9.2-lb., one-year-old little gem who was fortunately removed from a puppymill before she had the misfortune of being bred. This is a sweet girl with a playful and energetic personality while playing with other dogs, yet remains calm and cautious of people at first. She is great indoors and doing well with potty training, although not completely without accidents quite yet. We are working with her and she is responding nicely. She has not yet been around children or felines, but we would be more than happy to make arrangements to introduce her to them if requested. She has also not been tried on leash, so training in this area would be required. This princess does great sleeping in a crate at night, but does best when she is nestled in with another furry friend. She deserves a forever loving family to call her own. Don't hesitate to apply to be that special adopter she's waiting for.

Stella
Location: California Stella is fostering in Fresno! Meet Stella, an adorable 8-lb. five-year-old dynamo who has had a rough start in life, but she certainly doesn't let it get her down! Stella has had some issues with her jaw and some absessed molars that are now resolved but have left her with some jaw trouble in eating hard foods so she will do best being fed soft food. In spite of her jaw issues, she has a good appetite, can eat soft food without difficulty and can even snack on kibble. She enjoys cuddling and carrying around toys. Stella, a friendly little one, gets along with everyone she meets, canine, feline, kids, adults, and she LOVES the water, even if you only have a sprinkler or a puddle, she will be happy. But what would make Stella happiest is if she had her very own family to love and cuddle. Are you the lucky one(s) to give Stella the forever home she deserves? You will be rewarded with the love and devotion of a very special little lady. Please see more pictures of Stella in her album! Check out this new video of Stella frog hunting!

Tate
Location: New York Meet little man Tate! This adorable little guy is about 10 pounds and about 2 years old. He is very timid and skittish, but has progressed nicely in his fosterhome, beginning to play with a couple of his foster brothers. He is still very nervous of fast movements and loud noises. Tate would blossom best in a quiet home without children and with patient human(s) who will give Tate time and space. He loves to sleep in bed, is very snuggly and doesn't mind being close for petting and hugs. He will kiss your hand from time to time. He has been seen lifting his leg on several occasions, so we gird him up with a belly band to help avoid accidents. He uses a doggie door to do his business otherwise. This is a precious little soul that just yearns to let the "big dog" come out of his little frame. A calm playmate would be good for Tate, but also being an only dog would allow for all the attention and love to be focused solely on him, which he deserves. Please only apply for this very special boy if you can give him the love and patience that he needs. He patiently awaits his special forever family.
