corvette2009thRat Terrier ResQ has teamed up with Guardian Angels Basset Rescue to be able to offer a chance to win this AMAZING vintage Corvette, a 1960 White Corvette roadster with red interior and black top. It has a four-speed manual transmission (“four on the floor”) and 283ci engine. This was the last year to feature the taillights formed into the rounded fenders. It was also the last year for the heavy “teeth” in the grill. (See an enlarged image).

Questions? Hmmm?

How do I enter the drawing?
Tickets can be purchased by Check, Money Order, Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover and Diners Club) through the secure internet processing center. A confirmation receipt and raffle ticket receipt number will be provided to each participant once the funds have been received.

What happens if enough tickets are not sold?
GABR and ResQ reserve the right to defer the drawing until 6,000 tickets have been distributed to qualified entrants. If an extension is required, the drawing will take place no later than 60 days from original raffle date. In the event that a minimum of 6,000 tickets are not sold, the winner will be awarded an alternate cash prize equal to 50% of the net raffle proceeds with the remaining 50% benefiting GABR charity.

What are my chances of winning?
Odds of winning will be determined by the number of tickets distributed/sold.

Is this a legally approved and registered raffle?
Yes. Raffle drawings to benefit charitable organizations are legal in most states and are completely acceptable and common ways for charities to raise money for their programs and services. GABR is registered as required by the state of Illinois.

Who can participate in the drawing?
Tickets must be purchased in the name of an individual. The drawing is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older at the time of ticket purchase.

Do I have to be present to win?
No. Raffle entrants do not need to be present to win. The winning ticket will be drawn at the date, time and location specified on our web-site. The number of the winning ticket and corresponding wining name will be announced at that time. We will encourage the media to attend and publicize the event.

How will the winner be notified?
GABR will notify each winner by phone on the date of the drawing followed by mail and e-mail. The winner will also be announced on our website. Winner has 30 calendar days to contact GABR and accept the prize, in writing.

Are there any hidden costs or future fees?
The property will transfer to the winner free-and-clear and absent of any liens or encumbrances. The value of the prize will be reported to the IRS and any taxes due on the acceptance of the prize will be the responsibility of the winner.

How long will it take to receive the prize?
GABR will transfer ownership to the winner as expeditiously as possible and will work closely with the winner to facilitate a rapid title transfer.

Do you know any Rat Terriers who would look great in this car?
You better believe it!

Back away from the car…Thor says it’s his, he would look AWESOME in it and the colors match the canopy bed he won. He thinks if he has this cool car and bed the lady dogs will want him. Guess he’s forgotten he has ‘no bits’.

No matter, I’ll purchase tickets for him, would be cool to win the car or the trip never been to Vegas. Just by entering we win cuz we helped our beloved RATS.

    Cheers,
    Jeri & Thor

I have the perfect plan to make it run better and longer when *I* win it – I live in Buffalo NY, so it will sit in storage for probably 7 months out of the year not getting worn down or too high on mileage! Convertibles aren’t nearly as much fun in the snow!!!! HA HA! Seriously though, what a wonderful fundraiser for all of those wonderful needy Ratties out there. ResQ thanks you for your participation for this great cause!!!

There isn’t anything saying anywhere what the tickets cost. I understand that in some cases, if you need to ask, it’s too much. But in this case, it might be nice to know. If it’s on here, please let me know, so I can check that part out.

Thank you. It’s a great cause, and the car is beautiful.

Since the car was purchased by GABR, we do not have information on the original parts. I have asked them to let us know.

I have two Rat Terriers. They are my world. They say once you have one, you can’t live without at least one. So true. We lost our Fernley, NV home due to a levee breach in Jan 08. We would love to buy tickets, but right now we cannot afford it. As soon as we can, we will donate again :)
    Keep up your awesome work,
