I had a female rat terrier who had to be put down at 7 years old due to her pain and discomfort level in her hind end. After hearing her reasoning, I have to agree with her. She also insisted that our Rat-T meet the new Rat-T to see how they get along. That's just not practical from such a long distance (WI). I'm not happy about this because Ghillie just seems like an awesome friend. I'll keep watching this site for a rescue opportunity closer to home.
