Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Robilio family!

Say hello to Duncan!  Duncan is a 6-pound Rat Terrier, who is about a year old.  Duncan is crate-trained and sleeps all through the night.  However, he loves to nap with the rest of the family on the sofa or daybed.  He is a doggie door champ, having picked it up all on his own watching the other furkids, and is now about 99% housebroken.  He is always eager to please his foster mom, and gets along with all the dogs in his foster home.  He is often found coaxing the bigger ratties to play, and will jump in the middle if two of the others are playing.  Duncan is a little unsure of strangers, but loves everyone he knows and will jump in your lap almost before you sit down.  This cute boy loves to be petted and talked to, and will belly-up while wiggling all over.  He is very good about coming when called and we are working on leash-training. He is not “yappy” at all, but barks when he’s supposed to.  He is a curious little fellow and found a couple of weak spots in his foster mom’s fence, which are now closed off!   Duncan is a happy little boy who’ll bring you miles of smiles.  He will make you laugh out loud and glad that you have him in your life!  For photos and a video of Duncan in his foster home, click here:

Baxter

Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Ulmer family!

Howdy from Texas! My name is Baxter, aren’t I a handsome guy? I got lost and was a stray when the shelter people found me. My left elbow had been broken recently and not set properly, so it is a little cattywampus, but I get along just fine! Doc says in time I’ll be all healed though I may have a limp. But, let me tell you, it sure doesn’t hold me down right now. I’m a blue merle which makes me very unique. I’m close to a year old, long-legged, and a svelte 10 lbs but expect to be more when I am fully grown and well. I’m very clever and learned to use the doggy door all on my own. I also figured out a way to use a stool to get up to mom’s bed where I spend the night curled up next to her. It gets a little cozy with us three dogs and mom, too. I’m not much on crates….they have those at the shelter and I was very glad to be rescued from them. I can play by myself or with my housemates. I mind pretty well and come when called — especially if it is breakfast or dinnertime. I think it’s great fun to watch the squirrels in the backyard and bark at them or maybe just talk a little. I have quite the vocabulary. I would really love to have a home and family of my own. I love the little girls next door, ages 7 and 9.   Why don’t you have a look at more pictures of me at: http://imageevent.com/ratterrierresq/baxter?n=0
