ADOPTED!! Millie

Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Cockerum family!

Say hello to Millie!   Millie is a beautiful, long-legged girl, and weighs about 13 pounds.  She is only about a year old.  Millie is very sweet and affectionate, and a bit vocal.  She barks when she’s happy to see you, and wags her tail at the same time.  She also grumbles at the other dogs who come to close to her chewies.  Because of her tendency to “resource guard,” we feel she would probably not be good with younger children.  Millie does a lot of growling when she’s playing, but will retrieve a toy and place it in your hand, so she can tug and growl some more.  She’s a little nervous at times, but greets visitors with a happy wag and loves to meet new people.  Millie is happy in a crate, or snuggled up next to you under the covers.  She does well on a leash, and rides well in the car.  She is absolutely housebroken, and uses the doggie door on her own.  Millie can jump a baby gate like a deer!  If given a few days to adjust to her new home, Millie would be a devoted and loving companion! I love the look of Milli. Just had to put down a 14 year old femalerat terrier that looks just like Milli. I will be returning to Ontario in April and will be interested in adopting Milli if she is still available.

    Hi Cora:

Can you provide some more information on Milli’s temperament. Is she aggressive? Is she a yapper? Can she be left alone for an hour or two or does she need constant companionship? Has she been spayed?

Millie is not aggressive, but she does growl when she plays. She’s not a yapper, except when you come home and she’s happy to see you. She does not have separation anxiety. And yes, all our dogs are altered before offered for adoption. Cora

That’s wonderful information. Has she also had her rabies shots?

Am getting anxious and waiting for a decision.

    Hello Cora,
We are interested in Millie. We have a handsome young Rat Terrier named Toby that could very well pass for Millie’s twin and we love him so much. He is 2. I’d be happy to send photos. We have been dying to find him a little friend to share his life with, and she is perfect. My wife and I filled out an app. Our little guy is neutered, up to date on shots, and on a medical plan. I’d love to hear back from you regarding Millie, because she would make a wonderful companion to our family. Thank you.
