Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Cockerum family!

Say hello to Millie!   Millie is a beautiful, long-legged girl, and weighs about 13 pounds.  She is only about a year old.  Millie is very sweet and affectionate, and a bit vocal.  She barks when she’s happy to see you, and wags her tail at the same time.  She also grumbles at the other dogs who come to close to her chewies.  Because of her tendency to “resource guard,” we feel she would probably not be good with younger children.  Millie does a lot of growling when she’s playing, but will retrieve a toy and place it in your hand, so she can tug and growl some more.  She’s a little nervous at times, but greets visitors with a happy wag and loves to meet new people.  Millie is happy in a crate, or snuggled up next to you under the covers.  She does well on a leash, and rides well in the car.  She is absolutely housebroken, and uses the doggie door on her own.  Millie can jump a baby gate like a deer!  If given a few days to adjust to her new home, Millie would be a devoted and loving companion! ADOPTED!! Nutmeg

Posted Jan 19, 2012 at 12:14 pm in Latest News

Adopted!CongRATulations to the Moss family!Just look at this beautiful girl!  Nutmeg is between 2 and 3 years old, and weighs about 13 pounds.  She loves everyone! She is a favorite of her foster dad, and Nutmeg follows her foster mom everywhere.  She is especially fond of taking one of her foster mom’s shoes to her dog bed, where she happily curls up next to it.  Nutmeg is housebroken with a doggie door, and also crate trained.  She is affectionate and would probably be a great family dog, although she does have a habit of pawing at you when she wants to be petted.  She stands on her hind legs and waves her front paws in the air, and it’s very cute.  Nutmeg rides well in the car, and walks well on a leash.  She obviously had a family that loved her and took care of her, but somehow found herself alone in a shelter.  We are amazed that no one came looking for this special little girl.  She can jump baby gates at a single bound!  She is quite the athlete, and would thrive in an active home where she got lots of exercise.  Her absolute favorite thing in the whole world is a good belly rub, and she’s not afraid to beg for one!  For more photos of Nutmeg, check her album often: CLICK HERE

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Nietenhoefer family!

Hello from Texas!  My foster mom gave me the name of Halle, but I don’t like it very much and I don’t really think it’s my name.  I’m going to need my very own name when I’m adopted.  I was dumped at the animal shelter in Lufkin, Texas when I was so pregnant I was ready to pop.  The nice people at the shelter took very good care of me and my babies, and when they were old enough, all but one of my babies went to very nice homes.  The last puppy and I were driven to Tyler by a volunteer and picked up by our foster mom.  It is so nice to be out of the shelter and in a nice warm home where there is plenty of food, a warm bed and lots of toys.  I weigh about 10 to 12 pounds, and am about 2 years old.  I’m a sweet young thang!  The people at the shelter called me Little Mama, and that is what I respond to.  I’m about two years old, petite, a long-legged beauty, and boy do I love to put on a pretty sweater when it’s cold.  I’m working hard on my house manners, and I am crate trained.  I love to chase a ball, and am learning to bring it back so someone will throw it again.  I love to run and jump and play tug of war or just sit on your lap so you will be warm.  I am learning that life is good and being loved is wonderful.  I am looking for some people to take care of and teach them all about love, too.  If you are looking for a great Texas gal, well here I am! For more photos of Halle in her foster home, click here:  http://ImageEvent.com/coram/halle

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Pergolski family!

Meet Burke!  His family dumped him at a Georgia shelter and his time ran out. For the life of us, we can’t imagine why anyone would want to part with him or why no one adopted him.  He is truly a perfect dog.  Burke is an energetic puppy of 11 months.  He is a stunning black and tan, but his head is actually a bit more red..  He has a real show dog look.   Burke has a natural bob tail that is very short.  He came to ResQ housebroken and he mastered the dog door in one day.   He weighs 12 pounds. Burke loves to play with other dogs in his foster home and does rat runs with his step-brother Fuzzy Wuzzy.   And what puppy doesn’t love to play with toys?  Burke loves to play with toys.  He is crate trained and sleeps quietly at night.  He loves everyone he meets and especially loves kids who he sees as playmates.  He would do great in just about any home.  If you are interested in adopting this handsome guy, be sure and let us know, so he can pack his bag to come home!

ADOPTED!! Tinkerbell

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Vavalle family!

Tinkerbell is a two and a half-year old female who needs a gentle, loving home and a family that she can give her love and affection to in return.  She is extremely timid and submissive but ever so loving once she feels safe.  She would snuggle all day and kiss you to death if she could.  She is not a chewer or destructive and likes playing with our toys nicely.  She is playful and friendly with other dogs and picks up the household routine quickly.  We are not sure how she will do with cats. Tinkerbell has a white smooth coat, and is the classic tricolor with big brown eyes. She has an 8-inch tail, stands 10.5 inches at the shoulders and is 17 inches long from nose to the base of her wagging tail. She weighs 14.2 lbs.   She can be crated but is housetrained and walks very nicely on a leash..  Tink is quite an acrobat and can jump very high.  She loves to be on your lap if it’s free and also loves a good car ride.  Tinkerbell comes to her name like a good girl and has recently been learning to sit.  This sweet girl gets nervous and fearful around small children, so she needs a home with adults or older kids.  For more pictures and video clips of her in action, visit Tinkerbell’s photo album  HERE

ADOPTED!! Lady

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Warner family!

Lady is a sweet, affectionate, friendly, outgoing 3 year-old female rat terrier. She has a lot of energy and is always ready to run and play. She is good  with other dogs, but not cats or other small animals, due to her prey drive. She loves to chase squirrels, rabbits, and lizards. She will spend hours outside hunting, which means she requires a home with a secure fenced yard. She would not be happy as an apartment or condo dog because she needs an outlet for her energy.  She needs to be with a person or family who is very active. (i.e. taking her for long walks daily, letting her run, and making sure she has plenty of activities to keep her occupied.) Lady would be great at dog sports, such as agility or fly ball.  She needs a job!  She will only thrive in an active environment. She is highly intelligent, curious, and social. A home with another playful dog would be great for her, as well as a home with older children who can play with her, although she may be too exuberant for toddlers.  Lady loves being around people.  Lady has learned several commands, with the help of a volunteer trainer.  She knows “sit”, “stay” and “down.”  She is very smart!  She is nervous when it thunders (she wants to sit on laps and be comforted)  She sleeps quietly on her bed at night, and does not like being crated.  Her favorite thing is to swim in the ocean!  She has been to the dog beach and loves it!  She also loves going to the dog parks to socialize.  If you are looking for an active companion, Lady could be the one!

ADOPTED!! Bobo

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Afriyie family!

Want to meet a cute puppy?  They don’t come any cuter than Bobo!  Bobo is a 12-week old rat terrier mix that is living in a foster home in Bristol, CT, with his brother Brody.  These two boys are having a great time, and life is good!  He is a super sweet boy who is working on his housebreaking skills and leash training. He’s a smart boy, too, and is already crate trained.  Bobo loves kids of all ages and he is also good with cats.  Bobo enjoys riding in the car and going on adventures with his foster family.  His favorite thing, though, is to run and play with his brother and his foster brothers and sisters!  This boy is a total love bug with people, and would make a great family member for someone with or without other dogs.  Bobo and his brother Brody are good boys, and don’t bark much at all.  Bobo doesn’t waste his time barking, he’d rather be a teddy bear and snuggle.  For more photos of Bobo, check his album often: Click Here
