Adopted!!

CongRATulations to the Hawkins family!

Meet Stevie!  Stevie is a sweet 3 year-old chocolate and white female Rat Terrier who weighs in at 12 pounds.  She is being fostered in Tampa, Florida.  Stevie doesn’t mind having other dogs around, but chooses not to interact or play with them.  She is a refined lady!  What Stevie really needs is a home of her very own, after being rescued from a high kill shelter.  She was actually adopted from the shelter, but a year later came back to rescue because her family had to relocate. So this pretty girl has lost her home and family twice.  Despite being moved around, we think she would do well in any type of living environment.  She is very laid back, docile and quiet, and wouldn’t mind spending her days on the couch or in her owner’s lap.  She loves to be around people, and adores children. She would make a great companion to someone living alone, who has a laid back lifestyle and wants a loving companion.  Stevie doesn’t like too much activity around her, she doesn’t like too many people around her at once in the home. She enjoys going for little walks and meeting new people.  She is very shy at first but warms up. She is not interested in playing with toys, chasing small animals, or running around.  If you would like a laid-back little dog to follow you and be a great companion, Stevie is the dog for you.  For photos of Stevie in her foster home, check her photo album here

ADOPTED!! Aggie

Adopted!!

CongRATulations to the Cabal family!

When this pretty girl was hit by a car, her owners took her to the shelter in Bay City, Texas, instead of a vet.  She was unable to stand at first, but after ResQ requested an evaluation from a local vet, it was determined that she was very badly bruised, but would recover completely.  She was also in heat.  We cannot thank the shelter staff in Bay City, Texas, enough for their efforts to keep this girl safe until we could arrange transport.  Aggie was transported to Arkansas, where she is fitting into her foster home effortlessly.  She is 16 – 17 pounds, and soaks up affection like a sponge.  She is housebroken, crate trained, and makes full use of the doggie door in her foster home.  She loves to sun on the back porch with a choice rawhide.  She gets along well (and playfully) with the other dogs in her foster home, and, according to her temporary foster home in TX, even gets along with cats!  She rides well in a car, but sometimes likes to sit in your lap and help watching out the window for something interesting.  She plays with toys, and loves her rawhide chewies a lot!  Her favorite thing to do is hop up in her foster mom’s bed for a few minutes of snuggling before it’s time to start the day.   This beautiful girl would do well in just about any family environment, as long as there was plenty of love to go around.  For more photos of Aggie in her foster home, check her album:

Adopted!!

CongRATulations to the Giannakopoulos  family!

Scooby is a handsome, young, lovable affectionate lap dog!  He is 2 years old and 21 pounds.  Scooby was dumped at a kill shelter in Cartersville, GA and Rat Terrier ResQ stepped in to save him in the nick of time.   It took volunteers from Etowah Valley Humane Society, New Rattitude, and two pilots from Pilots N Paws to rescue and transport him to his new foster home in NC. There, he has settled in nicely with three other Rat Terriers, a Golden Retriever and a family with young children. They all get along very well together. Scooby loves to walk on a leash, play with rope pull toys and lounge with his canine companions. He enjoys riding in a car with his foster family and meeting new people. Scooby is house trained.  His foster family nicknamed him “lover boy” because he wants to be cuddled up right in a lap. He sleeps through the night in his crate, but prefers to be in a human bed on top of the covers. Do you have a place in your heart for this sweet brown-eyed, loving little fellow?  He’s sure to fill your home with cozy warmth and tons of puppy affection. View more Scooby pics.  http://ImageEvent.com/coram/scooby

ADOPTED!! Cocoa

Adopted!!

CongRATulations to the DiGoria family!

What is chocolate and sweet?  Why, cocoa, of course, and in particular, Miss Cocoa!  She is a very sweet rat terrier girl, a chocolate tri-color, and weighs about 10 pounds.  She is truly a lap dog, loving everyone she meets.  She may take a minute or two to size up new people, but she always warms up quickly to new friends.  She gets along very well with the other dogs in her foster home, and even the cat!  Miss Cocoa’s favorite thing to do is curl up in your lap and just keep you company.  She is housebroken and crate trained, and is a very quiet dog.  Miss Cocoa would do well in just about any home environment.  She walks well on a leash, unless there is a loud commotion that scares her.  She also rides well in the car, and would be an excellent travel buddy.  Her foster mom says that her chocolate-colored tail looks like the tip was dipped in white paint.  Because she is a bit nervous around fast-moving children, we would suggest a home with children over 7.  For more photos of this sweet girl in her foster home, check her
