CongRATulations to the Bain family!
Like her ears, Claire has a BIG personality. At 5 to 6 months, she is 110% active puppy. Since she weighs 12 pounds at 6 months, she will likely finish as a standard rat terrier when fully grown, weighing about 20 pounds. Claire is a very smart girl and is completely housebroken with the dog door, taking herself out as needed. She loves to play and run, especially with other dogs who are willing to play with her! Because she is a puppy, she can be a bit mouthy when playing or when very excited, therefore, she would do best with children over age 6. She sleeps through the night and really likes to sleep in bed, but is also content to sleep in her crate quietly. Claire will need space to run off her energy and would not make a good dog for an apartment. Owners with a yard or who are very active runners/walkers would be best for her to burn off her energy. Claire is a very good girl, and all she lacks in life is a permanent home of her own! If you think Claire might fit in with your active family, let us know so she can pack her bags to go home!
