ADOPTED!! Princess Daisy
ADOPTED!! This darling girl is originally from Tennessee. She had a wonderful life and then it turned upside down when her owner was moved to a nursing home and no one else was able to take care of her. She was confused and very scared about what would happen to her, even on her long bus ride to her foster home in Connecticut. Princess is an extremely sweet, calm, loving little 6.1 lb. ball of fur. She is a senior citizen of 9 years, but she chases balls or toys with the best of them. She is not thrilled with walking, but will do so if coaxed, and does very well on a leash. She is learning basic commands and has “stay” down pat, “shake” is getting there, and “sit” is sporadic. After her last outside potty break at 9 P.M., she goes to bed and sleeps on top of the covers wrapped in a blanket (if the AC is on) and will stay there, peacefully, all night. The bed is always dry and clean in the a.m. She has had a few accidents in the house, but it may be due to her new surroundings and being unsure of what’s going to happen to her. If kept on a reasonable schedule, she is doing every well with her housetraining, and always responds to the grass under her feet! She tends to gravitate to one person in the house and if that person is behind a closed door, she’ll bark until they magically reappear. She would probably do best with someone who works from home or a senior citizen like herself. She would probably not do well in an active household with small children. She would prefer to be the only pet in the house so her forever person(s) can dote on her the way she deserves. She is a fairly low maintenance sweetheart and will bless the life of whoever can give this girl permanent home. She has a lot of love to offer, and all she asks for is a little in return.
