CongRATulations to the Treger family!

It’s easy to see how this girl got her name.  Honey is a very sweet tan and white rat terrier, and is being fostered in Bristol, Connecticut.  She is 3 years old, and is good with kids of all ages and other dogs.  She will chase cats in the yard if they run from her, but she is fine with them in the house.  Her very favorite thing to do is take walks with her humans, so her perfect family would take her strolling from time to time.  She is very well-behaved on a leash.  Honey loves to play with toys for short periods of time, but especially enjoys snuggling.  She has an unusual quirky behavior that makes her foster mom smile – she likes to take a shoe of her favorite person to bed with her, but she never damages anything.  She is even gentle with her toys.  Honey is crate trained and housebroken, and dotes on her people.  She follows her people around, just to be near them.  Honey is used to sleeping in bed with her foster parents, and since she is a very good girl, she has been allowed.  For more photos of Honey, click her album:

Does this dog have separation anxiety, or will she do OK left alone all day. Looking to adopt a rattie. Have experience with the breed. I am in Boston area and travel frequently to NYC, so coming to get her would be no problem. Please email me back letting me know what the foster parents think.

    Thank you

My name is Chris and I am writing because I am interested in your female for adoption Honey.
    About me and my family,
My husband and I have 2 children (5 & 10) and a Saint Bernard (male) a calico cat (female spayed) and a bunny (male spayed) and a goldfish.
We live in the Hudson Valley just outside the catskills on 2.5 acres in farm area. we have a Large (apx~30×40 foot?) fenced dog run on the side of the house
We were involved in rescue work (I was director of P.A.L Greater NY for several years and we fostered many dogs, and found many great homes over the years)….so we are patient understanding dog people!
We wanted a rat terrier who is child and pet friendly and is a good ratter, as we live surrounded by farms…. (well the bunny is caged in my daughters room and only goes out supervised- doors shut w/o dogs around) We would prefer a young adult who is past the puppy stuff (teething/ housebreaking) and preferred spayed dog as she would be a pet, we don’t intend any puppies. We would be willing to have her spayed after purchase if necessary too.
Our Saint is a big friendly ‘mush’ who loves dogs of all sizes. We believe a small dog would compliment our family perfectly and have lots of love to give.
Anything you could tell me about her and her temperament would be great!
Thank you in advance for considering us..
