ADOPTED! Comet

Posted Dec 18, 2012 at 9:03 am in Latest News

ADOPTED!!  Comet came from California, where he and his sister, Cupid, were abandoned in a shelter parking lot in the middle of the night.  Our Facebook family worked hard to raise funds to send these two cute pups to an open foster home.  Their time was up, so the rescue happened in the nick of time.  Comet has cute little white toes and a white spot on his chest.  He has tipped ears, and is very outgoing and friendly to everyone.  Comet is between 3 and 4 months old, and weighs 6 pounds.  He will be small when fully grown, so he would do well as an apartment dog, but he would probably love a backyard to run in.  He is loving and sweet, and can climb baby gates!  He is also a toy hoarder, and will fill up his crate with every toy he sees.  Comet is a very handsome little guy who would love to have a family of his own.  For more photos of Comet in his foster home, check here for updates.  You can also see him and his sister in the video below:

ADOPTED! Cupid

ADOPTED!!     Cupid and her brother Comet were dumped in a shelter parking lot in the middle of the night near Los Angeles, CA.  Our wonderful Facebook family and Allie, a previous adopter, rallied to help save these two pups, and donated the time and funds to vet them and get them flown to an open foster home.  They even helped name these two cuties!  Cupid weighs 6 pounds and is between 3 and 4 months old.  She is a little more reserved than her brother, and is a delicate little girl who prances when she walks.  She is used to sleeping in a crate, and is working very hard on housetraining.  She gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home, and would be a very good apartment dog, since she will be so small.  Cupid has a full tail and wags it all the time!  She hangs back a little, but will eventually come to you for some petting and loving.  She is super sweet, and this little girl will wrap you around her paw in no time flat!  For more photos of Cupid in her foster home, as well as updates as she settles in, please check her album:  For a video of Cupid in action, click on the video below:

Adopted !Nelly Belle – Congrats to the LaChance Family!

Adopted! Nelly is a sweet young girl that is looking for some fun in her life.  She is a year or less and weighs 14 pounds.  She is crate trained and does well in the car.  She is good on the leash but would do best with a harness, because she does pull at times to hurry you up.  After all, there are lots of fun things to see and smell!   She would love to have a fenced yard or a doggie park she could go to, so she can do her rattie runs. Nelly is housebroken!  She is a bit shy for the first minute or two she meets you, but once you sit down she is all over you with kisses.  We feel this will get better as she learns to trust again after her shelter experience.  She does not have a mean or aggressive bone in her body.   We have not tested her with young kids, but will do so and update her bio.   Nelly Belle is a happy, happy girl that wants to play and return lots of love.  She is even good with cats!  She just sniffs them and walks away. She loves other dogs and wants to play with them. She was found as a stray, but wants to find a home where she can live forever with her new family.  For more photos of Nelly in her foster home, click here:   To see her “in action,” click on the video below!
