Levi – ADOPTED!!
ADOPTED!! Levi is about a year old and weighs a whopping 6 pounds! Because of his tiny size, we feel sure that Levi is half chihuahua, but we couldn’t leave him in the small town shelter in which we found Levi and his brother, Luke. They are both adorable little men! Levi is a happy guy, always wagging his tail and looking for a lap to sit in. He especially likes taking naps in a pile of fresh, warm laundry, and is so little that it’s easy to misplace him when he borrows into the pile. Unfortunately, his former owners didn’t keep him on heartworm preventative, and Levi has tested positive. So that means he will have to go through treatment and won’t be ready until about the end of June, 2014. Our Facebook family has donated the necessary funds to get him treated, and for that, we are truly grateful. Levi is crate trained and sleeps well in his crate at night. He is working hard on his house training, and will be learning how to walk on a leash before he goes to his new home. For more photos of this handsome lad, check his album:
We love this dog. Have a few questions. Does she like the car? Does she

Levi is a male, not a female. Right now he’s going through heartworm treatment, so he is on limited exercise. No fetching, no walks, etc.
posted May 29th, 2014 at 7:50 amHi, My boyfriend Joe Has fallen in love with Levi! How is he doing with heartworm treatment? We adopted Frannie (a Rat Terrier) in 2010 and absolutely love her. How difficult would it be for Levi to be adopted for a family in Largo Fla?

posted June 16th, 2014 at 12:37 pmHello, is anybody going on vacation to Florida in your neck of the woods? I think Levi would love it here.
posted June 23rd, 2014 at 5:20 pmWe keep coming back to Levi! Considering his medical condition and age, would it be difficult on him to fly? Is there a way to connect a road trip with volunteers?

posted June 25th, 2014 at 3:08 pmHe is about a year old, and should be 100% healthy after June 6th, but during the summer it is expensive to fly a dog because the only option out of Little Rock is Delta, at about $325 – they have a summer flight program for pets, and it has to be between airports that participate. It’s tricky during the summer.
