ADOPTED!! Bentley is a sweet and loving little boy weighing in at 14 pounds. He was surrendered to a kill shelter along with his brother Nico. Bentley and Nico share a strong bond, sticking together like glue! They were rescued by a whole team of volunteers, including friends of the shelter that pulled them out to safety before their euthanization day and volunteer pilots that flew them from SC all the way to their new foster home in NC. Since they have been in foster care they are learning to open up and play more independently. Bentley gets along with the other dogs and older children in the house. Bentley is house trained and sleeps through the night. His handsome chocolate coloring and ability to sneak a kiss in a split second is earning him the nickname “Romeo”. He is quite a charmer with his light yellow-green eyes and snow white dipped feet. He craves all the attention he can get and is happiest when cuddled up in a human lap. If you would like a full time Rat Terrier companion then Bentley is ready to be your boy! For photos of Bentley in his foster home, click here:

Nico – ADOPTED!!
ADOPTED!! Meet Nico! Nico is a dapper little Rat Terrier who weighs 19 pounds. He was surrendered at a kill shelter along with his brother Bentley. Nico and Bentley share a strong bond, sticking together like glue! They were rescued by a whole team of volunteers; including friends of the shelter that pulled them out to safety before their euthanization day, and volunteer pilots who flew them from SC to NC, all the way to their new foster home. Since they have been in foster care they are learning to relax, open up, and play more independently. Nico is more cautious when meeting new people and he gets along with the other dogs and older children in the home. Nico is house trained and sleeps through the night. His beautiful markings make him look like he is wearing a shiney black tuxedo. He is one handsome guy! Nico tested positive for heart worms, so he will not be ready for adoption until he finishes his treatment. In the meantime, he is getting tons of love and he dreams of his new adoptive home and family. It would be the sweetest dream possible if he could find his adoptive home with his brother Bentley.
