Tell ‘em Rat Terrier ResQ sent you!

In an attempt to assist as many Rats as possible, Rat Terrier ResQ has added this page as a courtesy listing, to showcase Rat Terriers in the care of other rescue groups. These dogs are not part of our foster system, and so we can make no guarantees as to their health or temperaments.

Also, our rescue friends at New Rattitude, ARTRA/National Rat Terrier Rescue and Rat Terrier Rescue Canada have wonderful Ratties in need of homes! If you can’t find the perfect match with Rat Terrier ResQ, we do hope you’ll check into those groups!

Benny in Houston

Hi! My name is Benny and I’m looking for someone to adopt me and give me a forever home. My foster Mommy found me wandering the streets the day after Hurricane Ike, but no one has claimed me so now I’m rescued, and looking for a home to call my own. I’m a really good boy, I “sit” and “shake” on commands.

Benny is neutered and current on vaccinations.
ADOPTION FEE: Applies

If you’d like to adopt Benny, please contact Kayla at 713-703-1528

PepperRTRC
Ike/Pepper in Ontario, Canada

Hi! My original name was Ike, but my foster mommy and daddy call me Pepper, or Peppie for short! I am a sweet, loving and good-natured little guy, and I like to say I am a young-at-heart senior! I heard my foster mommy and daddy say that I am about 15 lbs and about 10 years old. I love to snuggle, cuddle and lounge, and adore being petted! I really love being with my people and I am so good with other doggies, cats, and I like little children too! I am very friendly and outgoing and a lovey-dovey little guy. I also know the right place to go potty, so you don’t have to worry about that; and I’m all up to date on my vetting! I really want to live where there is no cold weather!

Read more of Pepper’s sad story.

Pepper is neutered and current on vaccinations.
ADOPTION FEE: $350

Sheena in Lakewood, New Jersey

Hi! I’m Sheena! I’m a 9-year-old little lady who needs a nice home. I’ve been here since October when my owner could no longer care for me. I’m a little chunky and working on getting my girlish figure back; since I’ve been here, I’ve lost 4.5 pounds! I would make a great companion for a senior or a family with no other pets.

Sheena is spayed and current on vaccinations.
ADOPTION FEE: $0

If you’d like to adopt Sheena, please contact Tori Lattig at Fischer Vet Hospital/Ocean County Vet Hospital, tori@ocvh.com, 732.363.7202 or 732.270.5300
