Skeeter
Sex: Male • Located in: New Jersey • Age: Young
*Skeeter is being fostered in Berlin.*
Skeeter is a happy, energetic, spirited little guy who doesn’t seem to have any fears. He’s willing to engage anyone in play – from dogs his size to a 160 lb Great Dane. He loves toys of all kinds but especially loves chasing tennis balls – he’s an excellent catcher! He’s a big kisser, very affectionate and loves cuddling under blankets with you while watching TV or napping. He is crate-trained and house-trained, comes when you call his name and has recently learned to walk on a leash but he’s still easily distracted by squirrels. He will chase a cat if it runs, but if they stand their ground, he backs off. He’s very protective of his food so he’ll growl if other dogs look at him while he’s eating. Skeeter likes kids but he’s still a little nippy when grabbing toys or treats (still a little puppy behavior left in him). Skeeter is 18 months and weighs 20 pounds. He’d love to have a home for the holidays — maybe it’s yours? Make sure you see more pictures of Skeeter!

Tate
Sex: Male • Located in: Connecticut • Age: Adult
*Tate is being fostered in Waterbury.*
Meet little man Tate! This adorable little guy is about 10 pounds and about 2 years old. He is very timid and skittish, but has progressed nicely in his foster home, playing with a couple of his foster brothers. He is still very nervous of fast movements and loud noises. Tate would blossom best in a quiet home without children and with patient human(s) who will give Tate time and space. He loves to sleep in bed, is very snuggly and doesn’t mind being close for petting and hugs. He will kiss your hand from time to time. He has been seen lifting his leg on several occasions, so we gird him up with a belly band to help avoid accidents. He uses a doggie door to do his business otherwise. This is a precious little soul that just yearns to let the ‘big dog’ come out of his little frame. A calm playmate would be good for Tate, but also being an only dog would allow for all the attention and love to be focused solely on him, which he deserves. Please only apply for this very special boy if you can give him the love and patience that he needs. He patiently awaits his special forever family.

Mick is a refined older gentleman (around 11 years old) that was rescued from a shelter in Miami where he was scheduled to be euthanized. This sweet 14-lb. boy is missing an eye, but he doesn't let that stop... [
