MinnieFL1

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Jones family!

Minnie is 2 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is crate trained, house trained, and gets along with everyone including other dogs and children. We’re not sure how she does with cats, but we can have her “cat-scanned” upon request. Minnie came to us from an animal shelter in south Florida when her owners were no longer able to care for her. Minnie was shy for about the first half hour in her foster home. After that, it was as if she owned the place. She plays with the other dogs and is very sweet and affectionate. She’s full of energy and loves to run around but is also content to sit in your lap or next to you on the couch. Is Minnie the perfect addition to your family? Please see more pictures of Minnie!

ADOPTED! Parker

ParkerFL1

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Cooper family!

Parker is a handsome one year old male. He is a tall guy (about 17 inches) and weighs around 15 pounds. He is very active and needs to have space to run and play. Although he is young, he is very smart and knows his basic commands, and how to properly walk on a leash. He is in training right now to be a very well-adjusted, happy dog. He definitely needs to have humans who can be his leaders. He is a follower, and should not be given too much leeway. He knows his boundaries and will not jump on furniture or go where he is not allowed to be in the house. He is housebroken and uses the doggie door to go potty outside. He adores being around people, and loves playing with other dogs. He likes going to the dog parks and will run for hours with his dog friends. He likes being chased and playing with his toys. He would do best in a home where there is another playful dog, a home with children to play with him, and a very, very active owner. If you think Parker would make a great addition to your home, please fill out an application. Please see more pictures of Parker!

ADOPTED! Skeeter

SkeeterNJ3

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Getchell family!

Skeeter is a happy, energetic, spirited little guy who doesn’t seem to have any fears. He’s willing to engage anyone in play – from dogs his size to a 160 lb Great Dane. He loves toys of all kinds but especially loves chasing tennis balls – he’s an excellent catcher! He’s a big kisser, very affectionate and loves cuddling under blankets with you while watching TV or napping. He is crate-trained and house-trained, comes when you call his name and has recently learned to walk on a leash but he’s still easily distracted by squirrels. He will chase a cat if it runs, but if they stand their ground, he backs off. He’s very protective of his food so he’ll growl if other dogs look at him while he’s eating. Skeeter likes kids but he’s still a little nippy when grabbing toys or treats (still a little puppy behavior left in him). Skeeter is 18 months and weighs 20 pounds. He’d love to have a home for the holidays — maybe it’s yours? Make sure you see more pictures of Skeeter!

ADOPTED! Greyson

GreysonCA3

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Morrin/Dennehy family!

Meet Greyson, a distinguished gentleman at the approximate age of 9 years old and around 15 pounds. Since arriving in his foster home he has been nothing but a well-mannered and pleasant companion. Greyson is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash. This guy loves everyone, young and old! Greyson gets along well with his foster siblings and loves to play with his ball; he can entertain himself for hours. Greyson was a victim of the foreclosure problem in California. He was abandoned in his backyard, in bad shape, left for animal control to come and rescue him. After undergoing extensive teeth cleaning, the vets found surgical metal in his mouth which had to be removed. Apparently, it was left in his mouth long ago from some type of corrective surgery and was never removed. Because this metal was in his mouth for so long (the specific time frame is unknown), it left his teeth and gums in terrible shape. Poor Greyson had a terrible odor due to his body digesting he metal, but there is good news! Since removing the metal and few good baths, he no longer has a bad smell. There is no residual health impact, except that his teeth and gums will need to be monitored by a veterinarian on an annual basis. Please see more pics of Greyson!

ADOPTED! Tejas

TejasCT4

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Hickey family!

Tejas (called Hoss for short) is named for the area of Texas where he was found. He and his three siblings were discovered in the woods with their deceased mama. He is about 5 months old and weighs about 13 lbs. Tejas has a full tail which wags constantly, and he loves to chase bugs in the leaves outside. He also likes to play in the snow. He is doing great with his potty training and rarely has an accident. Tejas is also crate trained and good on a leash. He is a great snuggler and loves cuddling, meeting new people and new dogs! He did meet a cat, and did not chase! He was content to try and play with her. He is food motivated so he is easy to train. Tejas is a good puppy, and deserves a family of his own. Could that be yours? Please see more pictures of this cutie pie!

ADOPTED! Caddo

CaddoAR3

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Ortiz family!

My name is Caddo, and I’m the biggest boy of my siblings! But I am also the sweetest, if you ask my foster mom. I was very worried about my little brothers and sisters when our mom died in the woods, but a nice lady found us and got us somewhere warm and safe. We had all lost most of our fur, but it’s growing back now and I’m happy in my Arkansas foster home. My sisters have been adopted, but I really want my brother Tejas and I to have our own homes. I am 12 pounds at 5 months. I am learning about housebreaking (my mom says I am good!) and I am also paper trained. Please follow my progress! I would love to have a home of my own, and maybe even some kids to play with! I’m a puppy, so I might chew a shoe or two, or tear up a Kleenex, but I’ll try to be really good if you’ll adopt me.

ADOPTED! Bugsley

BugsleyCA1Winter

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Eberspacher family!

My name is Bugsley. I am between 4 and 5 months old. I was picked up as a stray at about 3 months of age. I became very stressed at the shelter with all of the dogs barking and making so much noise that I got really scared at the place and stopped eating. I have been at my foster home for a couple of weeks and I have put almost all my weight back on, I weigh 7.3 pounds now. I had forgotten what is was like to be a puppy: running through the house and playing with my toys. I tried to play with a cat (but he really didn’t want to play with me so now I just ignore him). I do love playing with my foster dog-siblings. We have so much fun together. I am completely crate trained and I am working on my house training. I love all people who come in the house. I have not gone out too much since I have just received my puppy shots. If you are looking for a puppy to fulfill your life, look no further!

ADOPTED! Bonita

BonnieAR1

Adopted!

CongRATulations to the Cormier family!

Bonnie (Bonita) came from Texas along with her three brothers and sisters. They were found in the woods alongside their deceased mother, and had a terrible start in life. Not only was she orphaned, she had lost nearly all her fur to a terrible case of the mange. As you can see, almost all her fur has grown back nicely, and she’s doing great! Bonnie weighs about 7 pounds and is about 15 weeks old. She is friendly and playful, and just a happy pup! Please follow her progress as she recovers from her poor start in life. Bonnie and her brothers and sister would love to have homes where they can blossom and grow into perfect little Ratties! Is that home yours?
