Twitter (now called Fancy)

Posted Dec 12, 2009 at 7:48 pm in Happy Endings, Latest News

TwitterWhen she was with ResQ, this darling Rattie girl was called Twitter and was fostered by Cora in Arkansas, and then Annette in Connecticut. She ended up in ResQ because her human was both evicted and arrested. His landlord said the conditions at the house were deplorable and brought Twitter and her two puppies to a Louisiana shelter. The p0und had to keep the dogs for a few days to see if the owner was released from jail, but he wasn’t. It was curtains for these dogs, since they had already been at the pound long enough. Luckily, one of the puppies was adopted by a pound worker and is reportedly doing well. ResQ took in Mama Twitter and her remaining pup. Sadly, as is often the case with young puppies that end up in shelters, the pup succumbed to distemper. Twitter remained healthy and was a great save! She charmed everyone she met.

She was adopted by Kim Smith and family in Massachusetts. Twitter’s new family writes, “Our new baby is absolutely wonderful! She is now called Fancy, and she has definitely not let us down! She’s perfect in every way and it feels like she has always been a part of our family. She is now where she was meant to be. My daughter Gracie calls Fancy her new best friend. If you are reading this and considering adoption, please do; you won’t regret it! Thanks to everyone who helped bring Fancy to her new home!” We wish Fancy and rest of the Smith family a lifetime of happiness together!
