Happy Endings: Tiki in California

Posted Apr 23, 2009 at 9:45 pm in Happy Endings, Latest News

tikiLynn Ainsworth adopted Tiki, fostered by Karen, in March of 2008. Tiki stayed in California and is now called Zoe. Lynn tell us that they absolutely love her!  “Her favorite thing is taking walks in the local parks with her big brother Max, our 3-year-old Rat Terrier, and chasing squirrels in our backyard,” reports Lynn.

Last summer, the two Ratties went to a dog beach but they did not like the water (“I guess it’s kinda scary for a little dog.”)  Zoe and Max were happy just playing on the sand.

Lynn says that Zoe (“a smart little girl”) and Max cuddle up with their humans each night. Zoe has a good life in Southern California!

davisweb1ResQ had a VERY busy booth at the UC Davis Picnic Day this past weekend. The foster dogs that attended got lots of attention.  Present were Frankie, Zoe and Bella Blue.  ResQ had a great group of helpers to set up, pack up and chat with the crowd about Rat Terriers.  We had some past ResQ dogs stop by for a visit, too.  The ResQ humans in attendance were Karen L., Wendy K., Vickey M., Kathy B., Kelly C., Kelly’s mom and Kelly’s son.  Jeff & Janet A. also hung for a few hours at the booth.  The ResQ crew stretched out under two canopies with lots of room for people and dogs, giving them time to “break away” for lunch while folks filled in at the booth.

Several Ratties were in the Breed showcase with the fosters, so the crowd got to see the different sizes, colors and shapes of Rat Terriers.  By the end of the day, everyone was pretty pooped – even Dodger, Karen’s “Wal-Mart Greeter” disappeared under the table and into his crate for some quiet time in the afternoon.

davisweb6All in all, a great day was had by all! Check our Events calendar regularly to find out about ResQ’s upcoming events.
