Maisey

2008-06-20

Adoption Pending!

Congratulations to the McClane family!

Location: Arkansas

Affectionately referred to as "Crazy Maisey," this beautiful 9.2-lb., one-year-old little gem who was fortunately removed from a puppymill before she had the misfortune of being bred. This is a sweet girl with a playful and energetic personality while playing with other dogs, yet remains calm and cautious of people at first. She is great indoors and doing well with potty training, although not completely without accidents quite yet. We are working with her and she is responding nicely. She has not yet been around children or felines, but we would be more than happy to make arrangements to introduce her to them if requested. She has also not been tried on leash, so training in this area would be required. This princess does great sleeping in a crate at night, but does best when she is nestled in with another furry friend. She deserves a forever loving family to call her own. Don't hesitate to apply to be that special adopter she's waiting for.

Jodi

2008-07-27

Location: Arkansas

*Jodi is being fostered in Arkadelphia.* Beautiful Jodi is a sweet, loving little girl, about 12 pounds. She is slightly timid (but not in a bad way). Who knows what this poor dear has gone through? She was found pregnant and had her puppies in a kill shelter. Jodi was rescued by a wonderful Rat Terrier ResQ volunteer. Jodi has Heartworms and is going through treatment. As soon as she is through with that, she will be ready to join you in your home! She is such a loving, wonderful little girl. Jodi is great in her crate, house trained, loves to sit on a lap and gets along great with all the other dogs. She does like dogs that are of a calmer nature. Jodi is not a rough and tough girl, she is like a delicate flower that you want to hold and cherish. She is a pleasure to have around, a real joy. Do you have room in your heart for beautiful Jodi?

Zoe

2008-08-06

Location: California

*Zoe is being fostered in Auburn.* Zoe is a 1 year old Rattie. She is a very energetic young lady and would really like to be part of an active family. Her prey drive is very high so she would be a good candidate for Agility or Flyball. She gets along with the two Ratties in her foster home and does fine with the resident cats, although it wouldn't be advised to have small pets like mice, rats, hamsters, or guinea pigs, which could end up being her lunch that are within her reach. Zoe would be fine in a home with older mature kids. Zoe has been diagnosed with PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), which is extremely rare in Rat Terriers. Her current blood work and urinalysis show that her kidney function is in the normal range. She may need to be on a low-protein diet for the rest of her life and may need to be on an herbal supplement. We would recommend for her adopters to have a good relationship with their veterinarian and be willing to follow the recommendations. Zoe loves life and is always up for a new adventure. Are you ready to bring this little ball of energy into your life?

Bonnie

2008-08-12

Location: California

**Bonnie is being fostered in Fresno.* Meet beautiful Bonnie, a 12-lb., 4-year-old little lady who (when given some time to adjust and get comfortable) is a real love bug! Bonnie is a very shy little girl and really wants to be a part of a family. She really enjoys being near her people. Her little tail just wiggles and wiggles when you talk you her. She has a funny little personality. She is referred to as the "Circus Dog." Bonnie would be a perfect dog to teach tricks. When she came to ResQ, she would walk on her back legs all over the place. She learned to dance in a circle and is working on "High Ten." Bonnie is pretty quiet other than barking when her fostermom comes home. Bonnie enjoys car rides, is crate trained, and is almost house trained with the use of a doggie door. She is pretty good at walking on a leash, but is very skittish with moving cars and noises on walks. Bonnie is starting to be playful with her foster siblings, but since she shows some alpha tendencies, it is advisable that she be an only dog, or the only female dog. Please see more pictures of cute Bonnie!

Iris

2008-08-13

Adopted!

Congratulations to the Palisin family!

Location: New York

*Iris is being fostered in Lockport.* Iris received her name as she is a tiny little beautiful flower that came from a puppymill along with several of her siblings, but has since come to learn trust and human affection. She appears older than she is due to poor nutrition in her previous habitation. Our vets estimate her to be 3-4 years old. She is just a tiny little bug - around 8 pounds, but could use a solid pound or so to fill out. She is crate trained and uses a doggie door in her foster home with still just a few accidents. She has begun to initate play with her foster siblings, to show her cute sassy little personality. She loves cuddling. We think she would be great in a household with other dogs and children over 8 as she can be a tiny bit skittish sometimes, but is really getting over this quickly. We do not know how she would interact with cats, but she should be just fine. She is just sweet as pie and deserves to have a stable loving home to call her own forever. She will bring a smile to your house and heart, guaranteed!
