ADOPTED! JD
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Rolland family!
Look at this handsome guy! This is JD. He is almost 2 years old and weighs 19 pounds. JD is a very loving and playful young thing who will lick you to say hello. He loves to cuddle with people and adores being under a blanket. JD enjoys playing with his foster siblings. Hey, and this guy has a few tricks up his paw, like twirling for treats. Oh, boy, does he love his toys, so you’ll need to a good supply. JD loves to run after toys, though not so good at bringing them back to you, but we’re working on it. He also has a hankering to play in the sprinklers. It is most entertaining to watch him run around and try to bite the water. JD is great on a leash, is happy playing at the dog park and is house trained, and crate trained. He’d be best in a home without small children or cats. Please see more pictures of this strikingly handsome boy!

ADOPTED! Bosco
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Tickner family!
Hi, I’m Bosco! My foster mom says I was named after the chocolate, because I’m so sweet. I weigh about 25 lbs. and am approximately 5 years old. Before I came to live with my foster mom, I had been living on the streets of south Florida and had been brought to a shelter. Nobody came to get me out of that place, and I heard them say that my time was up. But, whew! A bunch of wonderful people took me out of there! I am polite and have really good manners. I know how to sit and stay and am working on learning some other stuff too. If it’s not too much to ask, I’d really love it if my new family had a kid or two for me to watch over and play with. I’d also prefer to be the only dog in the house, since I don’t know my own strength and sometimes play too rough with other dogs. Cats don’t bother me. I pretty much ignore them. I’ll sleep in my crate if you want me to, but I’d prefer to sleep with you. I am completely house trained. Do you have room in your heart and home for me? I have my own leash and will travel. Oh, and here are more pictures of me!
ADOPTED! Madyline
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Aukstikalnis family!
I’m Madyline, but you can call me Princess Madyline. I am 12 pounds, 2 to 3 years old, and a Teddy, which means I am short-legged. I just finished my Heartworm treatment so it is important that I get heartworm prevention pills every month, just like all dogs should! Now I can run and play and I feel just fine. I had bad fur and skin, and I am now getting back to my beautiful self. My fur still has a little way to go to be perfect, but I’m on my way. My favorite dog here at my foster home is a male, and we get along fine since he knows I’m the boss. I love tug of war and I steal his tennis ball whenever I can. If you are thinking about adopting me, you need to know that I need to be top dog since I’m a little bossy. I love to be next to my human and will bestow much love and a few kisses, and I even smile. I am great on a leash, perfectly house trained, crate trained, and I have learned that not all food is mine. So if you are looking to add a little royalty to your life, I’m your girl! Please see more pictures of Madyline — she’s a darling girl!
ADOPTED! Foxy
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Coppola family!
Foxy weighs 18 pounds and has a calm disposition. Our vet estimates her age at about 7 years old. Foxy is a calm, docile girl who won’t chew your shoes! All she needs is someone to love her and she’ll reward you with lots of affection and someone to curl up and watch an old movie beside. This dear one is a very quiet little gal but is alert, perky and curious. She enjoys belly rubs, snuggling with you and walks very nicely on a leash, keeping pace with you at your left. She fits in with other dogs and cats with no conflicts. She crates nicely but potties outside and comes when you call her name. You’ll laugh the way she peeks around corners to check on you to see what you’re doing and the way she gently nudges your arm to give you the hint that she wants to be petted. Any family that adopts Foxy will be totally blessed by her presence and companionship! Please see more pictures of this wonderful gal. Oh, and while you’re at it, see some videos of this cutie!

ADOPTED! Lasagna
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Fiset family!
Lasagna is a dear 10-week-old girl who is just as charming as could be! She weighs about 2.5 pounds, and will probably end up in the less-than-10-pound range as an adult. Lasagna likes to cuddle and play and is a very smart little gal. She is working on her house training and is really progressing nicely! She’s quite an attentive pup, focusing on her person well and will be great to train! Do you love Lasagna? We sure do!
ADOPTED! Lyla
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Priole family!
You have to wonder why a young pup like Lyla wound up in a shelter - especially one as sweet as Lyla! Our vets say she is 8 months old, and weighs 14 pounds. Lyla has a short bobtail and erect ears, and brindle coloration on the sides of her pretty face. She was skin and bones when pulled from the shelter because she was being housed with much larger dogs who wouldn’t let her eat. Lyla is submissive to all the other dogs in her foster home, and is such an easy-going girl, we feel she would do well in just about any family situation. She is doing very well with her house training, and is already crate trained. She happily snuggles with her human, and is so dear. She is a happy-go-lucky girl who has shown no behavioral issues at all. All this happy girl lacks is a home of her own! Maybe Lyla is just the right dog for your family? Please see more photos of darling Lyla.
ADOPTED! Bullit
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Gaynor/Cushing family!
Bullit is just the right size, not too big, not too small at about 16″ tall and 23 lbs. He is a very calm, easy-going dog: quiet indoors, affectionate, happy and playful. He has very nice manners and quickly learned to sit for a reward - meals, walkies, treats. He LOVES to go for a walk and gets very excited when the leashes come out. We are working on some leash manners. Bullit gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. He tolerates grooming well and has had no problem at all. He has the most wonderful temperament. Bullit has happily greeted every person he has met, young and old. He has been exposed to the foster home cat and displayed great interest, but was not out of control. We believe he could adapt to a home with a cat with some training. We would not recommend a home with small furry critters, like hamsters! He does not dig or bark unnecessarily. Bullit is about 4 years old and is house trained, rides happily in the car and sleeps in a crate - though would clearly prefer a bed! Bullit will be a great dog for any type of household, active or quiet. We definitely recommend taking a moment to check out more pictures of this cutie!
ADOPTED! Sookie
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Tyler family!
Sookie has a sad story to tell behind those gorgeous brown eyes. She may not know what “foreclosure” means, but she knows that her family moved away and left her behind. A kind neighbor was feeding her and giving her water, but when it became obvious that Sookie’s family wasn’t coming back, the neighbor took her to the pound. Since she was technically an “owner surrender,” Sookie had three days to live. She was pulled by ResQ on her last day, and was a trembling, terrified mess when her foster mom picked her up from her cage. Look at her now! Sookie is between 1 and 2 years old, and appears completely house trained. She uses a doggie door, and although she will sleep in a crate if you want her to, she is grateful to sleep at the foot of her foster mom’s bed. Sookie is about 12 pounds and just as sweet as they come. She is submissive and quiet, and wags that glorious white tail all the time. Sookie was terrified at the shelter, but she’s a happy dog now! She may be fine with kids, but we haven’t tested her yet, and will update when kid & cat tests are done. Are you looking for a sweet dog like Sookie?
