ADOPTED! Warrior
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Eisen family!
Warrior is an awesome and handsome 12-pounder who came to ResQ after his owner surrendered them at the local kill shelter due to moving. Warrior is a healthy and happy young man who is about 2 years old. He is house trained, kennel trained, gets along well with all the dogs in the house, is a very sweet snuggle bunny, and is just an all-around great dog. Warrior is a calm thoughtful soul. Warrior loves to try to get his older Rattie siblings to play, but sometimes is a little overzealous with his play invitations, but he will submit. Warrior is a quick learner and is working on some basic training. He is a very easy boy to live with. Warrior will be a great family dog, especially if he has children to play with and throw balls for him to fetch. He would also be a sweet companion as an only dog. He can be “cat-scanned” upon request. Make sure you see more pictures of Warrior!

ADOPTED! Clover
Adopted
CongRATulations to the Alexander family!
Clover is a sweet, loving, 6-month-old puppy. She weighs about 9 lbs and has the softest fur. Clover loves to pay with her sister and all the other foster dogs, no matter what size. She likes to go in the fenced yard and do Rattie runs while chasing any dog that wants to play. Clover is doing great with her potty training and will use a potty pad if needed. She is crate trained, but she will need a little training on the leash. She loves to sit on your lap and take a nap and also enjoys playing with all toys. She would be best with children over 6 because she is still a little bit mouthy, but she is learning to use her toys instead. She is not a destructive pup and is happy just to play with her toys. She is an active pup and will need someone who is willing to walk her and play with her so she does not get bored. Please see more pictures of this dollbaby!
ADOPTED! Noel
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Sandifer family!
Noel’s mom, Lady, is a Rat Terrier. And going by Noel’s looks, it’s possible her dad was a Dachshund, but she is not short-legged. Noel was born Dec 7, 2009 in a Texas shelter. Right now she is about 10.5″ tall and is just under 10 lbs. Noel has been in her current foster home for three weeks with three other dogs and a cat and there are no problems with any of them. She does bark at the cat sometimes, but never tries to chase. She plays with whatever dog is willing (and tries to play with the ones that aren’t!). Noel has the most fabulous personality. She is happy and outgoing, her tail NEVER stops wagging. Noel has visited a very busy local park and greeted everyone she could from about age 2+. She is not fearful and shows no aggression. One of the older dogs does not like to be bothered, but she pays no attention when he growls at her. She has happily greeted any visitors to the house, which are mostly teenage boys. She is playful, but also affectionate. Loves her toys and also to take a snooze in a lap. Noel does not chew excessively - no destroying of shoes or mouthing human hands. She is making progress on house training and trying to learn to like her crate. She has learned some basic training and seems to catch on easily. Her personality suggests she would be happy in any family situation, though we have not seen her around young children yet. She has a healthy appetite and is not a picky eater. Please see more pictures of this gorgeous girl!
ADOPTED! Ivy
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Williams family!
Ivy is a sweet, loving, 6-month-old puppy. She weighs about 8 lbs and has the softest fur. Ivy loves to pay with her sister and all the other foster dogs, no matter what size. She likes to go in the fenced yard and do Rattie runs while chasing any dog that wants to play. Ivy is doing great with her potty training and will use a potty pad if needed. Please see more pictures of this starlet!
ADOPTED! Casey
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Beekler family!
Casey is a wonderful young man, 11 months old and about 10 lbs. His legs are a little shorter than average but that doesn’t hold him down any. Casey loves to play with bones or chew toys and play chase with one or more of the other dogs. He uses a doggie door like a champ though he has to be reminded occasionally to go outside. Casey is just fabulous! He is funny and absolutely full of cuteness. He has been known to sleep with his head in his food dish — just in case he misses the dinner bell! He likes to sleep under the covers, on your lap, up against you on the sofa (under his blankie) — he’s not particular! Casey is energetic, full-of-life, and has a gentle soul. He can be a bit of a talker when he wants something. He likes to nibble on one’s fingers though he has a very soft mouth when he plays with his person. To know him is to love him. He would do just fine with children six and older. He is very compatible with other dogs and people though he can be a little shy at first. Check out more pics!
ADOPTED! Hank Hobbit
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Dolomont family!
Hank is an adorable puppy, and is 8 weeks old as of 2/1/10. He was left on a doorstep in East Texas, and ResQ was contacted. Hank is a happy and healthy puppy, and has started his routine shots. He weighs 4.6 pounds at 8 weeks, and is extremely self-confident and bold! He does love to snuggle in your lap and give puppy kisses, though. He has short little legs, which means he is a Teddy Roosevelt Terrier (formerly called a Type B Rat Terrier). His ears are going up, but aren’t quite there yet. Hank is just a beautiful puppy. He is being happily spoiled by his foster mom, who is going to hate to see this little darlin’ go! Please see more photos of Hank and his brother, T.J.!
ADOPTED! Pluto
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Pettit family!
Hi, my name is Pluto. My foster mom named me after the planet, because I’m small. I weigh about 17 lbs and am about 3 to 5 years old. Before I came to live with my foster mom, I was homeless. I was brought to a shelter, but nobody came looking for me. After a while, my time was up. I was very scared, but then my foster mom showed up to take me out of that scary place. I’m a very good boy. I never go potty in the house. I’m learning to sit and stay, but I have to stay on a leash whenever I go outside. I like to go exploring, but I might get lost if I wander off. I met a 12-year-old kid and I loved him! I’m good with dogs and I met cats and totally ignored them! What I really, really wanted for Christmas was a family of my own, but no luck so far! Can you help me have a fantastic new year in a new home? Yours truly, Pluto [P.S. See more pictures of me!]
ADOPTED! Gizmo
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Carreno family!
Hi! My name is Gizmo. I’m 3 years old and I weigh 14 lbs. Before I became a Rat Terrier ResQ dog, I was a stray in Northeast Arkansas. I was injured on the street and spent 3 days under a tree in a pile of snow before a nice volunteer came to get me. Due to my injuries, I was not eligible for adoption. Another volunteer arranged for me to take a plane ride to Florida where my foster mom was waiting for me. I’m doing much better now and am recovering from my injuries. I hope to be ready for my own family soon. I’m a really good boy. I sleep in my crate without complaining. I’m house trained, and I get along with everyone, including cats, dogs, and kids. I’m also very vocal and will talk to you if you like, but I promise not to bark too much. Do you have room in your heart and home for me? If so please adopt me, I have my own leash and will travel. If you’re wondering about my life on the streets, I’ll tell you all about it. You can also see more pictures of me!
ADOPTED! Jorj
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Beck family!
Hello, my name is Jorj! I’ve been told that’s a fancy spelling for “George,” but hey, I come when you call me, especially for dinner! I am about 8 months old and weigh 13 pounds, and am a handsome boy! I love to play, play, play with other dogs, but I’m not sure if I would like cats or not. My favorite thing to do is snuggle on the couch with my new foster dad! He tells me that I’m doing great with my house training, and he doesn’t fuss at me when I forget every once in a while, mostly when I’m busy playing. I sleep through the night with no accidents, too! I am a puppy, so I can be a bit mouthy when I’m playing, but I’m learning. I need to have plenty of chewies, because I love to chew! My foster dad says it’s better to buy rawhides than new furniture! I can walk on a leash, and I love to go for car rides! Please see more photos of me, so you can be sure and let me know if you want to adopt me. I can quickly pack my bag and favorite bone!
ADOPTED! Sid
Adopted!
CongRATulations to the Rilling family!
Sid is a wonderful 4 year old male, who was rescued from a kill shelter. He is such a sweet guy, loves to be cuddled and is always giving kisses. He is very laid-back, but he loves going on his walks and looks forward to them. Leash walking him is so easy; he will walk right next to you. He likes being outdoors, so a home with a secured fenced yard would suit him best. He doesn’t mind being around other dogs, but isn’t much into interacting with them. He is submissive to other dogs and would not pick a fight. He will chase the tennis ball, but seems more content on being a lap dog. He is a friendly boy and will let anyone pet him including children. As long as someone pays attention to him he is happy. He likes to chase small animals so a home with cats would not be good for him. We think a home where he will get a lot of attention and affection would suit him best. Please see more pictures of Sid!
