*Darla is being fostered in Arkadelphia, AR.*
Darla is 1 to 2 years old, and was picked up as a stray in central Arkansas. When the temps at the shelter reached 100 degrees, ResQ was asked to take her. Darla is an athelete, very strong and solidly built. She loves to run, chase tennis balls, tug-of-war, and play, play, play. She and her foster brother Thumper are best pals, and can play all day! Darla is housebroken with a doggie door, and loves to do rat runs in the backyard of her foster home for the sheer joy of running. She weighs about 16 pounds, and is solid muscle, not an ounce of fat on this girl. Darla is probably fine with older children, especially if they will throw a tennis ball for her, and the perfect home for her would have a fenced backyard or some other way to burn off energy. She is loving and loves to sit in laps, and sleep at the foot of your bed. She is crate trained, if you want her to sleep in a crate. For more photos of Darla in action,Click Here

posted December 3rd, 2010 at 9:17 pmThere is a motorhome transport, but it doesn’t go all the way to Florida. The best option would probably be an airline flight. Cost is approximately $200. Or, if you’re up for a road trip, maybe we could find some volunteer drivers to get her most of the way there?
