Meet Baxter! Baxter is six and a half years old and weighs 15 pounds. His family could no longer keep him when they had to move for their employment, so we were asked to help find him a new home. He is being fostered in South Windsor CT. Baxter is a very playful boy, who just loves his toys! Six years old is still a spring chicken for a rat terrier, after all! He is housebroken and sleeps quietly in a crate at night. He loves being outside on nice days and delights in playing fetch with a ball, if you will throw it for him. Baxter happily gets along with his two foster rat terrier sisters, but we were informed by his former owners that he may have some issues with much bigger dogs. He did live with a cat, but they were not best buddies. He will sit next to you on the couch, content to hold a stuffed toy in his mouth and just chill out. He loves going on walks and seems to enjoy riding in cars. A fenced in yard would be good for Baxter so that he can enjoy his supersonic rat runs for exercise.
