Say hello to shy, silly Scooter! Scooter is about a year old, and he’s quite small boned, about 13 inches at the shoulder and weighs all of about 11 pounds. Scooter is nothing but legs, legs and more legs - a rattie version of Bambi. He loves to give kisses - to any willing humans and his fellow rat terrier brothers and sister. Scooter LOVES to play and really needs a playmate to keep him happy. He plays nicely and does not get rough so he would not be a concern for smaller playmates. His favorite toys are Nylabone Dura chews and racquet balls. He is not a picky eater and will gently take snacks from hands. He does not like his crate and will let you know for the first 15 minutes of confinement. After that, he will quiet down and go to sleep. He is happiest though when he gets to sleep in the doggie bed by the human bed. He rides very nicely in the car. He is a little shy but will grow more confident as he becomes used to a new person. He has not shown any aggression towards any humans or other animals. He, so far, has not had any accidents in his foster mom’s house. Due to his small size, he would be best handled and cared for by older children of 10 years or older. He had shown an interest in cats but not in an aggressive way - he’s probably trying to figure out if the cat wants or needs a couple of kisses! For more photos of Scooter, check his photo album:
