Cupcake – ADOPTED!!

ADOPTED!!  Cupcake is a special girl who needs a special home.  She was rescued from a hoarding situation, and is very shy because she was not socialized.  However, she is making great strides in foster care and now seeks out attention from visitors. She loves her foster mom and jumps up in her lap for petting, but is afraid of strange people who walk up to her quickly.  When she came to rescue she was trained to use piddle pads, but now she is housebroken with a doggie door.  If she doesn’t have access to a doggie door, like in the middle of the night, she will use a piddle pad in an emergency.  She is getting good on the leash and does like to go for walks and car rides.  Because of her fears, we believe a home with a fenced backyard would be the safest. She is doing great with crate training.  She needs other dogs in the home, they give her confidence.  Cupcake is extremely sweet and gives her foster mom lots of kisses – but she is afraid of people who tower over her or chase her.  If you have the patience and time to invest into Cupcake, she will be a loving companion, but she needs someone who understands her.  She weighs about 15 pounds and is estimated to be between 1 and 2 years old.  She needs further socialization and lots of patience and love.  She has short legs and a full tail.  She has started to play with toys (she LOVES toys!)  in her foster home, so she has come a long way.  If you have the time and love to invest in a worthy little girl, Cupcake needs you!  For photos of Cupcake in her foster home, click here:
