Tango – ADOPTION PENDING!!
Tango comes from the Tri-Cities area of Texas, and was rescued along with his housemate, Echo. They had been at the shelter for months, with everyone passing them over. Our vets think he is between 6 and 8 years old, and weighs 11 1/2 pounds. This boy still has a lot of spunk left! Tango has a lot of spring in his step, and can really jump high. Tango is friendly to people, but doesn’t really know how to play. His foster mom is teaching him that the world isn’t such a scary place. Tango has come a long way in foster care, and seem to be happy in their Texas foster home. This good-looking guy is doing well with his housetraining, and he thinks sleeping snuggled up next to his foster mom is the best thing in the world. If you would like to know more about Tango, check out his photograph album: And be sure to watch his video below:

Yes, he is! We’d love for you to fill out an app for him, he needs a home!

I am in Michigan. Is there a way of getting him here, and what would be involved?
posted May 18th, 2013 at 4:31 pmI was wondering about adoption fee and flight charges?
posted May 18th, 2013 at 8:21 pmAdoption fees are stated on our home page – $175 for adult dogs. Flight charges depend on the airline. American is right under $200 and Delta is about $100 more, but I’m not familiar with other airlines. Cora

posted May 19th, 2013 at 1:56 pmWhat a handsome guy….bless you for taking care of Tango for the past year! We’re sure he’s an absolute love and you can’t help but have a soft spot for him. Sounds like he has the basics down: house training and sleeping next to his fave human on the bed at night! He deserves to know some kindness, for sure. Question for Cora: what happened to Echo, his former housemate? Previously adopted?
posted July 5th, 2013 at 3:35 amWe have enjoyed being the adopted dogparents of 4 minpins, 3 AHT’s, and 2 long-haired chihuahuas since 1998 (all rescues except 2 minpins), so we can relate to having your heart stolen by these canine larcenists! But what a way to go…there are far worse things in life than being loved unconditionally by a rescue animal.
Bless you again for opening your home and heart to Tango and Echo, and best of wishes for you all in the future.

posted December 26th, 2013 at 9:26 amHi, Mary,
posted December 26th, 2013 at 1:26 pmI believe he is, but the best person to answer that would be his foster mom. I’ll send her your inquiry.
