Misty – ADOPTED!

ADOPTED!   Meet Miss Misty!  She was born 12/20/12 in Missouri and purchased by a family with 2 young girls in New Jersey.  Unfortunately, the family fell on hard times and contacted ResQ to find a loving, furever home for the pup they loved but couldn’t keep.  She absolutely LOVES little girls of course, but also loves everyone she has met in her foster home, both fur and flesh.

Misty is a spunky pure bred Rat Terrier puppy with long legs, a slender build and she runs fast, just like a jack rabbit!  She can jump over 4 feet from a sitting position and can get onto a high bed with no problems!  She’s very pretty, mostly white with black patches and a classic RT face with tan accents.  Misty loves to be cuddled up on your lap when she’s not playing hard with her toys or fur siblings.  She is not destructive and sticks to her chew toys and squeaky toys when chewing and playing.  She does very well in the crate, where she has been sleeping at night and when home alone.  Misty knows several basic commands such as sit, come, no, treat, etc. Her personality is all Rat Terrier, and her foster mom thinks she could be a great candidate for agility training.  Before coming to her foster home, she didn’t know about running around a yard, hunting for rodents near the shed or that potty time is ‘outside’.  Misty was housetrained with piddle pads and a grass mat system, but is learning about running free and doing her business out in the yard.  Misty is approx. 10lbs now and 14″ tall at the shoulder, mostly legs!  Fully grown, she will be less than 20 lbs, just the perfect size for fun and cuddling!  Her backpack can be packed up and ready to go as soon as you are approved, so if she’s the girl for you, apply to adopt this sweetie today!  For more photos of Misty, look at her album here:

There should be an explanation of the applications process on our website informational page. Basically, you fill out an application and our volunteers check your references and schedule a home visit. Thanks for your interest in adopting!
